Istanbul Medical Students Research Congress
Welcome to IMSRC 2009
It is a great pleasure and honor for us to welcome you to the International Medical Students’ Research Congress 2009 that will be held in Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty from May 8th - 10th 2009.
IMSRC 2009 will gather students of biomedical sciences from all over the world to present their scientific work, exchange their ideas, make new friendships and learn something about our rich culture and tradition. It will be held on the Faculty of Medicine Cerrahpasa.
The Amsterdam International Medical Summer School (AIMSS)
Health Informatics & Patient Safety — From Admission (Hospitalization) to Discharge
Sunday, July 6 - Friday, July 18, 2008
This summer school is a collaborative effort of the Academic Medical Center (AMC) and the AMSU.
The 2008 edition of this course deals with patient safety; specifically medication safety. Literature reveals the significance of medication in patient safety. Around 50% of all errors made in hospitals, are related to medication. In the two weeks course: Health Informatics & Patient Safety we will take a look at all aspects of patient safety. Not only the theory of different opinion leaders on risky patients, processes and drugs will be discussed, also practical ICT issues like for instance electronic prescribing, decision supporting systems and administration facilities will be demonstrated. All aspects of medication; patient safety and informatics will be studied.
TransCard Research School on Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases
Mission Statement
The TransCard program trains excellent young researchers in translational medicine with the goal to elucidate genetic and molecular mechanisms that underlie cardiovascular and metabolic diseases and to transfer these findings from bench to bedside.
CMD Program
The program on Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases (CMD) is currently the smallest of six existing research programs of the Helmholtz Society (HGF) dedicated to biomedical research. Three HGF research institutes collaborate in the CMD program: the Max-Delbrück-Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin, the German Cancer Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, and the Center for Biomaterial Development (CBM) of GKSS, Campus Teltow.
